When There’s “Hope “, there is a way

Samir is 52 years old, and a father of three who came to us with an idea of a project; opening a shop specialized in selling and maintenance of all sorts of electric devices. He previously worked in electrical maintenance when he was young. Samir gained a lot of experience in this domain, before he decided to travel to the Arab Emirates in 2003. Back then labor migration to the Arab gulf was at its peak, Samir went to Dubai and established a company for interior design.

Samir worked diligently for more than 10 years and was able to make a fortune from hard work and perseverance.

It was time for the hardworking millionaire to reap the fruits of his hard work years and come back home. And indeed, Samir returned to Aleppo with a new family business idea in mind; investing in a huge venue with a large swimming pool called “The gold river”.

This partnership with his brothers was successful, their restaurant became popular and everyone loved it, these millions of dollars’ worth investment was doing great, but unfortunately it hit an early end when the Syrian war reached the outskirts of Aleppo.

For the Jerjy family, it was very devastating after they’ve put everything they had in this project and even took loans from the bank, and then everything was gone with a blink of an eye… Samir had to sell everything he owns; the man was left with nothing except his strong will to survive no matter what.

To provide for his family, Samir moved to Latakia to work there in an interior design company like he used to in Dubai…

Exhausted from all the financial burdens and wearied out of surviving all dangers like their house being damaged from the falling bombshells, Samir was getting overwhelmed… what rekindled the flame of hope in his heart was hearing about the Micro Projects Program, for him it was the second chance that he needed desperately to stand on his feet again.

Samir applied to open a shop for electric maintenance and retail, a domain he had much experience in.

“one should never lose hope, it is what makes you survive after every hit and restart again” he says.

Samir carefully chose a good location and put a lot of effort in making this project launch successfully, he also believes that God blessed this project and with his blessing everything was sorted out as it should be.

Today Samir have come a long way since opening the shop, he became well-known for his satisfying customer service, his clients’ list grew bigger and he even added new varieties to his merchandise.

Despite all the hardships that Samir and his family went through, he has an abiding faith that the future holds the best days.
