Majd Lahdo (director of Relief Office in the Syriac Orthodox diocese): “The importance of the Family to Family program is that it gave flexibility to the beneficiaries to use the amount in the way that serves them best and cover their most urgent needs”.The relief office was established after the gulf war in the nineties to offer support to the Iraqi refugees and till this day they’ve been serving relentlessly in the relief field in collaboration with different benevolent organizations. In 2016, they joined the Family to Family program but it wasn’t their only collaboration with Caritas Poland which funded other projects for the Syriac Orthodox diocese in Aleppo beside the Family to Family, and one of them was Al-Kalima school rehabilitation project.
