Aline is a married woman with four children. She works with her husband in washing, weaving and selling carpets. She has 20 years of experience in weaving, and her husband has also learned this profession from his ancestors and has been working in it for nearly forty years. Their shop is the family's sole source of income.
In the beginning, with their passion for the profession, they had a shop in the Hullok area. However, they sold it and moved to a factory in the Shaqif area to start a more developed business and achieve their dreams.
But with the onset of the war, their dream, hard work, and efforts were stolen. The factory was looted, including the equipment. Due to the many shells and missiles falling on the area, the factory was partially destroyed and became unfit for work. Therefore, they had to wash carpets on their home's rooftop and weave at home.
Since working from home does not attract many customers, it led to a significant decline in the family's income, causing them severe financial hardship. Consequently, they decided to rent a shop.
Aline requested a carpet weaving machine to work on and add this feature to the shop to avoid dealing with workers who own such a machine, to save time, and to increase the income.
To complete her project, she was assisted by the Micro Projects program in securing a battery and an inverter to provide the necessary power to operate the required machine.
After the funding the family was able to stand on their feet again. With determination, hard work, and great effort, they became well-known in the area, and people started coming to them.
