Hanna from Al-Maamoura village is the sole provider for his wife and their son who is serving in the army.
He has a land that is planted with almond trees, and he used to depend on rain-fed irrigation, in addition to renting water tankers. However, everything has changed, and relying only on rainfall became no longer sufficient to produce good crops, especially for the almond trees, which need to be watered at least four times per month.
On the other hand, renting a tanker started to take a huge part of the income and turned into a financial burden.
Now that Hanna has his own tanker, thanks to this initiative, the hardworking farmer will be able to guarantee better seasons in the future and water his land independently.
