Age: 32 years old
Family members: 3
Skills and experience: Katia attended a nail care course, in addition to 6 years of working experience.
Katia's interest in the field of nail care started as a hobby, without imagining that someday, it will be the main source of livelihood for her small family and a way to alleviate the heavy burdens on her husband's shoulders.
She was living with her parents in Homs city, where she started working by using some simple tools, and over time, her special skills encouraged her to turn it to a source of income; by the beginning of the war, Katia's family was displaced to another neighborhood after their house was damaged.
In 2016, she got married and moved with her husband Osama to Fairouza village, where they stayed in a rented apartment, and in 2020, the couple had their daughter, Christina. Osama who works as a tailor was no longer able to cover all the growing needs of the family, his wife Katia who had always supported him, couldn't just sit and watch, she rolled up her sleeves and got back to her old job to ensure their baby girl a dignified life.
Her talent was obvious and within a short period, the number of her clients increased around the village and she managed to save an amount of money for the purpose of improving her project. Unfortunately, Osama suffered from a sudden heart problem, the selfless woman spent all of her savings on the treatment costs.
It was very important for Katia to enhance her business and buy the essential requirements, but she couldn't afford that and began to lose some of her clients because she was unable to provide all the services. One day, she saw a poster regarding a program that supports micro-projects, so she prepared the needed documents and applied.
Katia deserves the chance to revive her life project and stand by her husband, hoping to guarantee a better life for their beautiful daughter.
