Cultural Event

The study zone center in Damascus city hosted the first of a series of cultural events organized by a club called “Sham”; a group of young people interested in conducting intellectual initiatives like book clubs, open discussions about variety of social topics and organizing monthly events.
More than 30 people gathered to enjoy an afternoon at the study zone, full of different types of art and entertainment. The segments varied between poetry written by one of the club members, and an incredible shadow theater show, followed by an open discussion about women’s role in our society in addition to the soothing atmosphere created by the oriental music accompanying the whole event.
